Rising above with Type 1 diabetes

Markus ‘Mauzi’ Sauer proves that type 1 diabetes is no obstacle - he continues to conquer marathons with determination. The condition spurred on the Graz native (Austria), driving him forward through life and across various marathon distances and endurances. This year, he trained for the Transalpine Run (TAR).

Corinna’s faithful companions in her journey to motherhood

Corinna is a bubbly 27-year-old new mom. We visited the young family in Nuremberg, Germany, to hear first-hand about her journey to motherhood. The 1-year-old Matteo fills up every room with smiles. Despite being a "diabetes veteran" – Corinna was diagnosed at 12 – pregnancy was a very intense period for her. Starting on myLoop in the second trimester allowed her to focus on the beautiful moments and the health of her future son.
